General Terms and Conditions
BJJ Lab GmbH

1. Contract
These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) govern the contractual relationship between BJJ Lab GmbH (“BJJ Lab”) and its members. By purchasing a membership or using the facilities, the member accepts these GTC and the applicable house rules. Membership rights are personal and non-transferable.

2. Services
A valid membership entitles the member to participate in regular training sessions and to use the training facilities during published opening hours. Services not expressly included, including private lessons, events, drinks, or merchandise, are subject to additional fees.

3. Membership Term, Renewal and Payment
Memberships are offered as fixed-term memberships (e.g. 1, 6 or 12 months). Memberships do not renew automatically unless the member activates automatic renewal via their BJJ Lab Online account. Memberships must be paid in advance or via an agreed automated installment plan for the full membership term. Access to training is conditional upon successful payment. If a scheduled payment fails, BJJ Lab may suspend access after a reasonable grace period, generally up to 7 days, until payment is completed. Non-attendance or non-use of the facilities does not entitle the member to a refund or extension.

4. Suspension of Membership
Memberships may be suspended only in the following cases: pregnancy; injury or illness preventing participation in training; or a stay abroad of at least 8 consecutive weeks. Short trips, holidays, or vacation periods do not qualify. Suspensions are available only for 6-month and 12-month memberships. One-month memberships cannot be suspended. Suspension requests must be submitted via the official suspension request form using the official contact details published on the BJJ Lab website and must be made before the suspension begins or within 7 days of the start of the relevant circumstance. Retroactive suspensions are excluded, except in medically justified cases supported by appropriate documentation. During an approved suspension, the membership term is extended accordingly. Participation in training is suspended. Access to BJJ Lab Online remains available. During medical suspensions, use of common areas, class observation and individual rehabilitation exercises are permitted.

5. Early Termination by the Member
Fixed-term memberships cannot be terminated early for ordinary reasons. Early termination may be granted if the member permanently relocates and the new primary residence results in a one-way travel time of more than 90 minutes to the gym, or if a medical condition permanently prevents participation in training, in which case a medical certificate is required. In the event of approved early termination, membership fees are recalculated based on the time already used, applying the corresponding shorter-term rates. Any outstanding balance must be paid, or any overpayment will be refunded.

6. Termination by BJJ Lab
BJJ Lab may terminate a membership with immediate effect for serious reasons, including violations of gym rules, unsafe behavior, or failure to follow staff instructions. Prepaid fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis for the unused membership period.

7. Image and Media Use
The member agrees that photographs and video recordings taken during training sessions, events, or competitions may be used by BJJ Lab for communication and marketing purposes without compensation.

8. Communication
Members are responsible for keeping their personal and contact information up to date. Notices sent to the most recently provided contact details are deemed received.

9. Amendments
BJJ Lab reserves the right to amend these GTC and the house rules. Amendments become effective upon publication and apply to existing memberships unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These GTC are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
